We had the opportunity to use (or put to the test) our roadside assistance today as our Travco decided that after coughing and feeling weak for the last couple months, enough was enough!
We stalled on the side of the road prior to crossing a causeway. Good thing we did, otherwise we would have been blocking traffic for a couple hours! Kudos to Good Sam for finding a tow service willing to come to our aid.
After an initial check up, it seems that the gas tank is rusted and has condensation build up (water in the gas) that is at least part of the problem. Tomorrow the tank comes off and gets a good cleaning. Hopefully the carburetor isn't too clogged up.
So for the next 2-3 days we get to live in what looks like a truck graveyard. At least its gated so we can leave the front door unlocked.
With all the chaos today, I almost forgot... We found an exhaust manifold!! It ships tomorrow and we should have it installed by Friday afternoon.
