Kurt and I were out for a morning walk in the William O'Brien State Park and we came across a Garter Snake!
Poor thing, he had no business being out in the cold and he was struggling to move across the path. Kurt had plenty of time to photograph him up up close. The little snake was continuously moving towards us looking for some form of heat.
Kurt held him for a while and the snake seemed to enjoy the heat from his hands. After that he was moving with more energy. We dropped him in tall grass where he might have a chance to survive.
