We spent the past several days photographing, shelling and biking on and around Sanibel Island. In a couple days it will be time to fly back to Minnesota just for a few days for the Children's book signings. Sigh. Not looking forward to the cold.
Life was good on the Sanibel Causeway until the Sheriff showed up to talk to us this morning: "We got a complaint that you were staying on the causeway, have you been staying overnight?" "Yes". "You can't do that, it's a no overnight parking zone." "OK, we'll move tonight, can we please keep the Travco parked here today while we bike to Sanibel? Parking is expensive over there..."
The Sheriff said we could and we got some great shots on the island for our fine art project. Whew.
So bye bye Sanibel Causeway, hello Walmart parking lot.
It's tough to be discreet with a vintage Travco :)
