We're back on the road! The Travco is running better than ever. It's an incredible load lifted off our shoulders, we can finally refocus on our project.
It's hard to believe that we spent 10 days at Best Way Truck Repair when we thought we would be out in 3. We were able to stay in our Travco the whole time and be plugged into their electricity.
We miss those guys, after 10 days, they were like family.
A natural motivator, The Boss was hands on from the very beginning. He knew Mopars, he owned a few. When we got parachuted into his shop he told us: "We'll take care of you." It was so good to hear him say that after having been turned down by half a dozen places.
The Master Mechanic
This guy had the understanding and the knowledge of older engines. He treated our Travco with familiarity, like he was dealing with his own semi. He listened to our Travco, watched, problem-solved for hours on end. He never gave up or settled for "good enough".
His eyes were sparkling when he announced he was going to build us a custom fuel tank from scratch. We could see the enthusiasm on his face, one talented guy!
The New Guy
The day we showed up was his first day. He installed our new "used" exhaust manifold as soon as it arrived in the mail. He was vey reassuring and letting us know it was going to be alright, that it was not a big deal.
